I hadn't washed my truck in weeks, just no time. So decided to late yesterday afternoon. Used the new Adams Wash & Wax, it has a different feel to it than the Blue soap. Doesn't seem to foam as much, but has a slippery feel to it. It did a nice job. I was running out of daylight so I did the final rinse with a pump sprayer filled with distilled water, the dried it with the master blaster. It was dark and couldn't really tell how good a job it was. Went out and looked at it this AM and it was spotless.
I went on the Costco website and ordered a CR Spotless deionizer. Should of done it long ago, but it's kind of expensive. But if it can save me time not having to hand dry my cars, it will be well worth it. And much better for the paint in the long run. The water here is very hard.
I found the same, that the Wash & Wax has a little less suds, but still provides a lot of lubrication to the surface of the paint. It does leave a nice shine. Most people also report that it makes towel drying easier, since the towel slides better after using the Wash & Wax.
Only downside so far to the Wash & Wax is the peach scent. Although it smells nice, my wife said the smell made her hungry, so she left right in the middle of washing her Explorer to go make a sandwich, leaving me to finish the wash by myself!
You're gonna love the CR Spotless! When my truck is just dusty, I pressure wash it with the deionized water then blow 90% of the water off, and leave the rest to air dry. Takes about 20 minutes.
I have found that just leaving all the water on the truck, and not blowing any off, often results in some dust collecting in the water on the flat spots like the hood, roof and bed cover, and the dust left behind once the water dries off is visible.
