:blam: Wow! They're on the first tank of gas and totally consumed with gas mileage and they're arguing and even some name calling.

It's the Raptor MPG and street racing forum!

Hardly any discussion about the Raptor's qualities. I wonder how many of them will take them offroad?

Alright... that we can't have. Its one thing to have a little fun with how they're imploding from the top down (and I'd like to see us start to move beyond even that), but its entirely a different thing to call out their members. And "flaming", aka name calling, is a no go in any case.

We'll just have to wait on one of our members to give a semi-long term (at least a few tanks of gas) evaluation upon receipt of their 6.2L. Gotta love those MPG quibbles, we'll soon find out how true that 7 mpg is over the long haul.

Good point NC. MPG certainly cannot be established in a few hundred miles and definitely not off of the AVG MPG meter in the short term. Of course, all of us with the "ole' dumpy" 5.4L can just sit back and grin if those numbers do turn out to be accurate! :racing:

The first grand of miles is always an eye opener at the pumps. I'm expecting frequent fuel stops in 13 days when i pick mine up. When I was breaking in my .60 over Pontiac 400 I was getting 6-8mpgs at 50mph, it went upto 15 after 1500 miles...but at 120 mph+ dipped to 4. I'm lucky that my break in will be almost done in the first week alone. I live 300 miles from the dealer, and plan on driving it a few hundred the first day before returning home. Mpg should not be a major concern long as you plan your trip ahead. Personally I'll be happy with 14 avg. it will **** off the greenpeace ninnies that much more, and secure my job for years to come.....I dig oil sands for petroleum.

I dont think the 5.4 is dumpy at all, I was just not impressed by the power in a $55K CDN truck. It's been a very hard wait for the 6.2 watching 3 - 5.4s drive around town, but good things come to he who waits.

I see the mpg part, but what makes you call it street racing forum? I still see alot of offroad talk:confused:
