I went with Rough Country as I have always had good experiences with RC. Plus the pricing is pretty good. I ordered the 30 inch, hidden grill kit #70702, the Tripple fog light kit #70700, and a pair of 2” square lights #70903BLKDRLA.

I put the 2” lights in the rear for backing up. It was pretty simple. I used pre-existing bolts to mount them on the inside of the exhaust tip. I ran the wires under the truck and into the hood. They are dual lights with white and amber. I hooked them up to my upfitter switches #5 and #6.

Next I did the triple fog light kit. This was also pretty simple. The brackets bolt to pre-existing holes and it’s just bolt together and run the wires. The only issue I had and it’s not really an issue is the kit comes with 3 pairs of regular 2” lights. The mounts that come on those lights are too tall. You have to take all of them off and put the lower profile mounts that come with the kit. More time consuming and redundant. I wired the leg side to upfitter #3 and the right side to upfitter #4.

Last was the light bar behind the grill. This part sucked. Wasn’t too hard taking the grill out. Just follow the instructions and I watched a couple of videos prior to doing it. Once it is out, you separate the grill. There is the exterior and an interior portion. The hidden bar bolts up to the inner portion. Then you throw it back together. The only issue I had was during the reassembly. I couldn’t get the headlight trim pieces to snap back into place. I had to take them off completely while others say you don’t have to. Then I had to remove the first two bolts of the fenders to pull them out. Mine only went back together by snapping it in from inside of the trim to the outside. Not a huge deal. Pretty happy with all of it

Great installation. I'm looking at the RC triple fog kit.

How are the lights performing? Do you ever use them on the street? Any issues?

Have you seen an amber cover available?

Do you think its possible to wire them one pair per switch?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the delay, so far so good. Too busy with work but lots of rain lately in SoCal and no issues. I have one snow off reading day in big bear and zero issues.

That’s exactly how I wired them except for the light bar.....

The high
how does that light bar compare in distance vs your high beams?
The high beams definitely reaches out further but not by a large margin. Biggest thing I noticed with this bar is while the high beams stretch a little further, it’s more like isolated or like a spot light beam.

The bar is more of a flood. It really lightens up everything but it does not reach as far as the high beams.
