Finally towed with my WSI HDs

4 place sled trailer with 5 sleds , 4 guys and all our beer and gear. The truck squatted pretty good , about halfway down. It road great and handled the load great. Doing 75 against the wind i was getting 7 mpg. But other than that all was fine. I would never have tried this with stk springs. Pretty sure id be dragging a bumper and bet sitting on busted springs. One other good note is the truck seems to ride better now , i think the springs got worked out well and they are softer now.

What's the other equipment you have on the rear? Bumpstops? Shocks? Any idea on the tongue weight and bed load?

Nothing other than the springs... no weight in the bed i kept it all in the trailer. Im not sure about the tongue weight. Id say the trailer weighed about 8500

If that's a steel trailer that's a lot of trailer for a Raptor, I would not personally tow that with anything less than a 3/4 ton but I must just be old school

Sorry if i misled , i think the total trailer weight , sleds and gear inc weighed around 8-8500. Im really not sure tho. 5 sleds x 550=2750 , 4 guys gear and beer 4x100= 400 , tools , fuel , oil , misc = prob 500. What does a trailer weigh 3500? So that comes to about 7200. I was off a bit at 8500.

Best thing to do is stop by a Love's or Pilot truck stop and have your truck/trailer weighed.

I did this for my '23 toybox which has a max of 7700lbs and it cost like $14. Turned out I was overweight by 120lbs. after four people, gear in bed and fresh water and gas in the toybox.

So next time I will travel with less fresh water and gas in the toybox to keep under the max weight.

My 28' Charmac (aluminum) with an empty Fuel station weighs right in around 3500 pounds empty empty. A steel trailer is going to be at least 4K I would imagine.
