Final Wait Begins

I hopefully made the last call to SVT today (until next year when I order a certificate) until my Raptor arrives.

SVT today confirmed what my dealer told me last week (this is good when they both say same thing) and that was my Raptor will be built (born) this Friday 1/6/12!! Delivery ETA CONFIRMED 1/23/12!!

SVT said maybe a few days delay but it should arrive the 23rd. My dealer said same.

I've seen post on mileage, new @ the dealer befoe PDI, up to 30 miles. So I wont sweat anything under that amount on it before I arrive. Thanks for this info guys.

Overall I should be flying to pick up my truck in 3 weeks. Note, using skymiles so it's only a $30 one way ticket fee to CO + 1 tank of gas in b/t CO and CA. So that's about $130 + food for me to fly to CO and drive 800+ miles back to CA. Not bad for a 1600+ mile journey to get my Raptor AND get it home.

Will keep posted as I'm drivin strait from the lot in CO to my home in CA @ time of pick up! Cant think of a better way to drive and learn and enjoy and break in the new Raptor I've waited almost 4 years for.....YESSSSS!

Thanks. My truck will be built TOMORROW 1/6/12!!!

I feel like a mix between Madd Maxx waiting on his new ride to be built vs being the war-lord from Madd Maxx #2 envisioning myself as him riding aboard the Tux Black '12 Scab Loaded Raptor driving down the Hwy saying something lame but scary to others through a loud PA system as I drive by like "you, Ha, yes you, YOU will obey REPTAR"

I'm keeping the F1 Bed Cover install @ dealer BUT....I just got rid of installing line-X and window tint.

Main reason....I dont want anyone driving my truck....especially in snow/ice before I get to even see it. Its the principle.

Plus, I dont trust ANY red blooded USA born male not to have a little fun in a Raptor IF given the chance with me not around. So I cut that crap out real quick about 10 min ago.

Will still install both options later this Spring when it starts to get hot again.

I figure its not only safer this way but I save money, my bed doesnt get sanded down just yet, I have more visability out of the front cab while I learn the blind spots etc.

Plus Im still getting a bed cover so it evens out. Truck set to arrive in less than 2 weeks.

Thats the latest. REPTAR!

Most of these updates are FYI till the truck arrives in 2 weeks. Especially for owners who are buying from out of state or over the internet/phone.

I got the closing docs today. This way when I fly to pick it up...everything is already done from paperwork to printing my new ins card. I'm trying to make the pick up experience FUN!

I have to pay registration myself, cash, instead of it being built in the loan. Gay.

The closing docs all looked good minus one detail....all of the dates still had January 2011 as the sale year!! So if I would have signed it, dont get me started on all the tax mess, late fee pmts, etc. I would have had to go through. Dealer overnighting me new closing docs with 2012 dates. Always check every line gents....

Window tint and spray liner confirmed removed from install at delivery. Only getting F1 backflp cover @ delivery. Then on my ride home gonna get window tint and next month get a bed mat--till I spray the bed.

Loan docs confirmed received. Deal pretty much done now until I take delivery. No car pmt snce November all the way to early March= Awesome!

Also confimed is the F1 Backflip bed cover AND Bed Tred bed liner!! Only option I'm not getting at pick-up is window tint....which I plan to get installed as soon as I return to CA.

Then a break on mods until I decide best lighting and exhaust with electirc twin baffle route to take.

Should be taking delivery (fly to CO) two weeks from today. Thats the latest.

I could see my window sticker today finally. I called svt Monday and they said build date was 1/25, but the window sticker says Friday 1/20-yea!! Now the final final wait begins. Ordered 10/12

Same here - ORDERED 8/26 - seems like 3 years ago. Mine being born as we speak - TODAY!
