Hey All!
Just wanted to introduce myself. My names Matt and I live near San Francisco. I work in Local 8 Elevator contructors union and I LOVE it! Currently im in the market for a raptor. theres one on here specifically that caught my eye, but we will see what else I can find!
Im 26, and have been involved in cars and trucks my whole life. It started in high school when I bought my first car, a 1996 Mystic cobra. after modifying it and getting into drag racing for a while, I started to get bored of going in a straight line so I decided to sell off the drag racing parts and replace them with road racing suspension. The project snowballed (like they always do) and I ended up (FLAME SUIT ON) swapping an LSx motor into it. I got a great deal on the motor and I couldnt pass up the opportunity to swap it in. It's a fully forged 347ci motor with a big custom grind cam, milled AFR 205 heads, ported FAST intake, and Long tube headers. it puts down 450rwhp and 404ft/lbs.
Also had a 1995 pre-runner ranger with full Long travel front and rear. extended beams, deavers, kings, bed cage, engine cage, etc. what a fun truck. pulled 18" of travel up front, and ~15" of travel in the rear. only problem was it was my daily driver, and it wasnt as reliable as I needed it to be.
Ended up selling that truck to buy a 2008 Toyota Tacoma as a DD. After modifying that lightly (simple lift, wheels, tires, etc) I got bored and now thats up for sale in the intentions that it will be replaced by a raptor soon!
