I just got my fully loaded 2019 Raptor at the end of June. I have every option available for the 2019. I found out through Forscan that my truck has the fake engine sound. It turns out ALL 2019 Raptors have it in the SYNC 3. It's a sound file that plays at low speeds. Dumbest thing I've ever heard of so I wanted it disabled. If I want the truck to sound different, I'll change the exhaust, not my radio.

When I hit the "go" button in Forscan to disable the feature, I actual saw forscan set the volume for the sound effect to zero. The sound is produced by a file embedded in SYNC 3 and all Forscan does is set the volume for this sound file that runs in the background to zero.

I'm not sure what you're messing with to get "white noise" from the audio system. Mine is whisper quiet. And that's how I like the interior of my truck to be. Quiet. If I want to hear the exhaust noise I'll roll down the windows and drive under a bridge or change out the exhaust system.
I cant believe the Raptors come with fake engine sounds. Embarrassing.

The current FORSCAN spreadsheet says that the fake engine noise is for Lariats and higher trims from before 2018. I do not believe it is active on newer F-150s. As I said earlier in this thread, it was active on my 2015 Lariat with tech (but I shut it off), but when I went to turn it off on my newly delivered '18 802A it was already disabled (ACM set to 727-01-01 xxxx x0xx xxxx, and DSP set to 783-01-01 Exxx xxxx) The note on the spreadsheet for " fake engine noise" says "<---2018 Lariat+ models may require this also" and I take that to mean either Lariats and up before 2018 may require this setting to shut the fake engine noise off.

It's certainly not enabled on my '18 802A, and wasn't when delivered.

I think you are misreading the Forscan spreadsheet. What is says is that for all F-150's you need to make the change to the ACM to disable it but if you have a 2018 Lariat+ model then you need to also change the DSP. On my 2019 Raptor the ACM was at "2" and I changed it to "0" as noted above. The DSP was already at "E" from the factory, since it's a Raptor and not a 2018 Lariat+.

After making the change the fake engine noise was clearly no longer there when driving.

I was not trying to be offensive and I like the new Gen 1 very much just not for me. I am saving pennies for a whipple and headers and I do not think I will be getting rid of my Gen 1 love the way it sounds. I had a F150 with the 6cyl Ecoboost and it was fast but I did not care for it personally just never really punched the button for me. Heck the Ford GT even had a 6 cyl turbo which IMO was a dam shame cant believe it but technology is ever changing and as they say different stroke for different folks.

Fair enough, on reflection the note is adjacent to the second line and you're probably right.

I'll go back and revisit my settings. i wanted to figure out how to get my halos on full bright during the day anyway. They initially come on full bright on remote start but then go half-bright when I'm driving. And I haven't figured out what that's about yet.

Thanks,

S.

Are you sure it wasn't turned on in your factory program? They all came with fake engine sounds.

Agreed, gen2 already achieved that lol, it was even part of the introduction of the second generation, highlighting the 3.5 EcoBoost having done several full races then taken apart for demonstration. Check your facts

MF New Guy has a hard time...a lot of the time. I have now seen those vids.

Thanks for providing some of those facts in your post btw;). I bet all the others like me found them very informative.

Give me time; I too will have punisher stickers all over my rig soon.

I thought the high end trucks had it. I don't think my plain jane 2017 800A with the 4" infotainment screen has it.

I do not hear it in mine and I have an 802A with B&O radio. Pretty sure it was never there even when my truck was stock. Now, I am running an MPT 93 PRX tune, but I did not specifically ask them to turn it off. Maybe they do it as part of their default.

I have forscan, but have never looked at that option to see if it is/was enabled.
