Are you serious about the diffs?? The water line on the truck was way above what I was in.

Yup,

If the diff(s) got submerged under water change the fluid.

Oh and LOL about Ford's "lifetime fluid".

Change it out (both front and rear) shortly after break in and then again (rear) at 30,000 miles (assuming you don't tow)
