Are you using it so precool your truck? I'm guessing as you are from Arizona, seems like a waste of fuel if that's the case. Not judging, to each their own, for sure.
Gotcha, yeah, probably a good idea to warm it up, so moisture doesn't build up in the exhaust, etc. I don't have remote start on my Gen1, but I do on my JK and use it all the time when it's cold out, to me that's when it's below freezing, it's all perspective, regardless, I haven't noticed anything wearing out, although I did have to change the starter in it this year, but I wouldn't contribute that to remote start as I'm only starting it once, not repetitively.My concern was from a wear perspective, hard start, electrical issues, early component failure that may result from constantly using the remote start function. Often by the time I get to work, which is approximately 4 miles away from my house, my truck hasn't hit 180 degrees.
