did you just straighten the ball mount, or have them send you a new one?

I called Dee Zee yesterday to tell them about the bent ball mount and nutsert. They are mailing me a new one at no extra cost. Great customer service!

It was tricky to get the shock off the ball mount...

It looks like the ball mount wasn't tightened enough. You want it to be snug, not enough to strip it, but enough that there is no play in it.

It was tight, before it bent...

Mine was snug but it loosened up a bit with use. I tightened it some more to where it was snug again and then it became loose again with more use. I guess it will just stay a little loose.

All I'm saying is that the instructions say not to make more than 9 turns. I think I lost count somewhere around turn 14.

I agree with joker. 9 wasn't nearly enough. I tightened until it got snug. Here is a buddies F-450 we just did. Works great!

well i installed mine today at work in about 13 minutes. very easy cheap mod.

ok guys just a thought what do u guys think, i was thinking about putting one on the other side. thinking it might let it down slower and even easier to push up and less strain on only the one side and piston

any thoughts?
