Extra hose after installing AMS turbo inlet pipes

What do I need this hose for?

AMS instructions (yes, I had to ultimately look at them) - shows plainly the use And how-to install method for that hose. I nearly left my OE hose, but I’ll say that after properly following the AMS install instructions, the effort was well worth it - I even robbed the OE hoses blue Ford Parts # tag and put it on the AMS provided “extra” hose
