Not sure how to even explain it but I notice that sometimes when I start my 17 gen 2 it cranks excessively before it actually turns over. It never has an issue actually starting but it just makes me worry. Anyone have this issue?

Is your fuel pump priming when you open the door? If not, there may be a delay to fire up.

Are you parked level? Extended start time isn’t bad, the oil starts pumping into the turbos before ignition. It’s recommended after every oil change.

Sometimes mine cranks longer as well, starts within a few seconds though. Just depends on how quickly the PCM can get a reading on the Crankshaft trigger wheel. Nothing to worry about.
