I'm getting a sound similar to an exhaust leak when accelerating. It sounds like it's coming from the driver side flange but I can't pinpoint it. I have it scheduled to go into the dealer but I'm not too confident on them giving me a good diagnosis. I thought about using SeaFoam to try and pinpoint it but have not done so yet.

Has anyone experienced this? Is it usually covered under warranty?

Stock exhaust? I have this but I'm running SW headers and exhaust. Almost sounds like a possible header leak.

Yeah it's stock. It sounds like it's coming from the headers or the flange on the downtube. Guess I'll wait and see what the dealer says. Hoping they cover the cost. I'm sure they'll give some shit for taking it offroad and use that as some type of excuse to deny warranty.

Honestly I think it's just valve train noise...I heard it with mine with manifolds and now with headers I think I hear a leak but it's just valve train noise. I went over everything and found nothing leaking. It's just the loud valve train on these motors.

That's what I chalked the ticking up to but I didn't think the puffing sound was from that. Like you, I couldn't trace it down either. I even went through and retightened all the header bolts.

When are you heading in to the dealership, Pynenut? Let us know what they have to say. About how many miles are on your truck?
