That's untouched after you pulled the cover?

If so, it was clearly the upper left bolt backing out that caused the failure.

Pretty cool how the hardened ring gear ate through the mild steel cover and didn't hurt it a bit. You can probably re-use the R&P if all the teeth lived.

I completely agree, as well as the top left bolt, the right top and bottom were finger loose, so for anyone reading this thread a check over of those bolts and proper torque down of them wouldn't hurt. Axles Seem okay, but i'm replacing everything between the two axles, as well as the axle bearings while the rear end is apart.

WOW !!!!!!! wonder what caused the carrier bearing caps to loosen up. were C clips still locked in? Good thing axles didn't start walking out . Only thing holding them would be your disc brakes.

That's so odd, never heard of that happening, unless a lazy tech had his fat fingers in there before. Any idea what all of the parts, minus axles costs these days? Good for others to know.

Its been fully rebuilt.
Axles-Moser customs axles, couldn't for the life of me find an OEM axle, or even a Yukon replacement ($440)
Pumpkin-yukon 34 spline, again, nearly all raptor specific OEM parts are going to be nearly impossible to find. ($750)
As for everything else, bearings seals and hardware, OEM was easy to source through my dealership.
All said and done was nearly 4K, while still cheaper than a fully built rear-end, still expensive.

If something like this ever happens to anyone reading, CHECK YOUR TRANSFER CASE!!!!
A month after getting the truck back, case split in two, most likely from the rear end locking up and in turn messing up the case... On to a new case..

Locked up because of the rear end pumpkin bolts coming loose, see beginning pics.
Hahah nooo, I meant in turn as a phrase, like due to the locking up, the T-case broke
