Hey guys I just want to make sure I have some facts straight, when I tell people about my new truck.

Does my 2019 Raptor have the same engine as the Ford GT?

Does it have the same transmission the new corvette has?

No, the corvette tranny is made by GM and uses a dual clutch eight speed. Raptor is ten and is actually the same one in the Camaro ZL1.

Ford GT has the same block and is 3.5L V6, but "includes larger turbochargers, an aluminum intake manifold, a custom dry sump lubrication system, unique camshafts and higher strength rotating and timing drive components"

The C8 Corvette uses a dual clutch transmission designed for the C8 and is not used in any other car or truck. Also, I don't believe you can buy a Mustang GT with a V6 - V8 only!

The Raptor has more in common with the GT ecoboost than the standard F-150 ecoboost, as the Raptor and GT have the upsized turbos and the same crankshaft (early GT race models were experiencing crankshaft failures, so they used the pre-production Baja raced tested Raptor crankshaft and have since, and no more crankshaft failures with the Raptor sourced crankshaft in the GT).

The Ford GT and Mustang GT are two different cars. One has a V6, the other a V8.
