Engine raising rpm when door opens

Here is a new one for me: started truck, cold start rpm up, idles down, open door and it raises up to 1200ish, shut door idle lowers to 600ish. Did it 10+ times over maybe 10-15 minutes finally just drove away and now it doesn't do it....any ideas?

Just curious. Was your truck parked for a long time or had an accessory draining the battery? The voltage could have read your battery was low and even that little draw for lights when your door open caused enough pull for the engine to supplement battery.

Either that or gremlins...

(I like solarwinds answer better, replace lights with a/c and it sort of sounds like what he said)

Have you done any forscan changes? Mine ramps up when I get out with it running since the secure idle was enabled
