Why do you think the EB needs more frequent oil changes than Ford recommends?
I just think that with the blow by tendencies of the ecoboost motor and the engine oil being used for cooling and lubrication for the turbos. There is a filter on the inlet feed to the turbo and if that thing gets plugged up the you lose a turbo or worse. I could be wrong but that's my thoughts. I know that Ford recommends oil change every 5-10k on the ecoboost but I know that if change my engine blood sooner at around 3k it's not a bad thing. It may be excessive at 3k ish miles but I have alot of money under my hood so the oil and filter is alot cheaper than motors or turbos again. Also I run E85 alot and smash the skinny all the time.
