Don't know if it's helpful for the console, but I keep a tool roll behind the back seat. These are the components of my EDC tools that solve 80% of the problems:

3/8" ratchet
3/8" sockets - 6-19mm, 9/16", and 11/16"
Socket extensions - 3/8" drive, 3" and 6"
Socket adapter - 3/8" to Hex
3/8" U-joint
Screwdrivers - ratcheting multi-bit in regular and stubby
Multi-bit set
Hex extensions - 2" and 6"
Hex adapter - Hex to 3/8"
Pliers - slip-joint, needlenose, 10" channel lock, 8" vise grips
Wrenches - 8" adjustable, 10" locking adjustable
Fuses - both mini and standard 2.5-40A, cartridge 20-60A
Utility knife
Telescoping magnet
Flashlight - spot/scene, LED, waterproof, USB rechargeable
Extendable mirror
Zip ties
Duct tape
Electrical tape
Pencil

The trick is to have two of the same handgun so that the mags can be used for either when shooting out the window with both hands and BlueCruise handling the getaway driving.
*multiple guns in the same caliber.. I'll rock a 9mm PCC like a MPX K in the center console and keep the Glock on the hip. Ammo can under the rear seats :) wife reloads
