Ford changed the game - rather than stepping up and playing fair, Mopar offers aftermarket suspension through it's catalog - Mopar doesn't build ANY of those components.
I did the math awhile back and it added up to 23k in parts to make a Ram Runner - unless you get a Ram for 27k, you are over budget.
The cheapest screw Ram with the 390hp 'hemi' is 35k with no other options - 35k + 23k = 58k without the labor for installing the suspension and body...
News flash - you can take any truck and install aftermarket suspension, great job Dodge. "Hey, we at dodge are so tuned into the car culture that we are offering a new challenger model to compete with Corvette's. You buy the Challenger and tell us what upgrades you want and we will order them from the vendor across the street and only charge 10% markup. It's called the redneck cousin ****** package."
