So the mount that I linked to in the original post sits directly in front of the driver seat rails. This would make the pistol easily accessible between your legs while driving. The holster / pistol would be oriented the same way as if on my person, vertical and between my legs instead of my waist.

Oriented similar to this but mounted to a molle panel.

Also, I shoot IDPA so I’m familiar with drill training.
In NC I can carry the firearm how I see fit with my CCW.

I agree a 1000% with John S.
I come from a military background-8 yrs and almost 20 years in law enforcement. 10 years as an FI. Practice is the only way, no matter what platform you use or choose to deploy.

I remind my guys all the time to dry fire, draw, reload, etc.------UNLOADED of course.

The only thing I will add and then move on, get a personal medical kit and learn how to use it. Even if you win the fight you may need to fix yourself until help arrives.

Anyway......... Hope everyone stays safe!

Sorry we hijacked your thread!

Don't see the molle mount from Alien Gear, but they DO have the strap version like in your picture there, compatible with Shape Shift system:

So while that wouldn't let you simply remove your appendix holster and slap the whole thing onto a mount, you could do all the other options I shared, but you'd probably end up unholstering/reholstering.

I'm sure there are other good options though. Sorry I can't be more help on that!

That actually looks pretty good. it’s tough to tell from the pic, can you exit the vehicle without knocking the gun?
It’s pretty clear you’re the trailblazer on this idea, so we’ll need to count on you for pics and an implementation report.

Say, by 10 October? The Gen 3 threads are getting kind of boring.

This looks neat, just hope it doesnt rotate or move if your leg hits it.

It is an absolutely pain in the **** to reach anywhere that far to retrieve it.

You don't want it too far. IMO.

And in MD, if you have it off your person and "not concealed" its considered in transport mode, then it has to be separate from the magazine.
A Maryland WC permit prevails and does not differentiate open vs concealed while contained within a vehicle.
