Anybody made any sweet mods for your four-legged friends? Are there any bed products specifically designed to make dogs safer, more comfortable?

My dog rides shotgun, I disabled the airbag without the seatbelt clipped so it doesn't blow out in his face potentially.

If you have a screw mounting a lead point to the floor would be best and folding the seats up

I bought a leash made for truck beds from Bound to Ride Truck Leashes - Bound to Ride Truck Leashes ...does that count?

Having the attachment point in the middle is good so the dog's got the ability to move without going over the sides... but... would you swap your 3-point harness for a neck tie?

Look for something that supports the dog by it's chest / body mass rather than the neck.

Then I would add a BedRug kit - just for the dog to not slip around on the metal surface and also a bit of padding should they fall down.

We do use a harness if we put her in the bed, we also throw down a good sturdy blanket. She rarely goes in the back, I just bought that for the few times we have a short trip ahead, and more people in the truck. Throw a 90lb Golden Retriever in the cab, and that doesn't leave much room! :rotflmao:

I hate dog hair in my vehicles. Our dogs are crate trained, so when they ride, I use ratchet straps to secure a crate in the bed up by the cab.

Moose has to ride up front since he does navigation, coms and occasionally even turns on the off road lights. He likes to turn the lights on on paved roads though. Can't forget his security duties keeping SD cattle away from your truck.
