Yep, Bought all new Fox shocks, shipped in Motorcraft boxes from Rock Auto, also got new mounting hardware for them for $1,600 shipped. I spent a lot of time debating going the rebuild route, but seen too many shady posts about companies doing this exact shit, Forged Offroad website for the core return doesn't even work. Now I have brand new shocks and a set of cores I can send directly to Fox to be rebuilt when the time comes.

Same for me, for non-live valves on my 2017. I think the rears did not come up for a 2017, but did for a 2018. Probably best to search by part number. I did have a rear shock start leaking within a few hundred miles and rock auto worked out a warranty replacement for me. No issues since.

I tried to sell or trade to them and sent pics and one brand new, in the box motorcraft front from tasca. one email back "Yes we want them, how much you want?" something fair I said, I know they need rebuild and the new one 600, how about 250? Crickets, never heard from them again. Rears are like new and new one is like new!! anybody make an offer? I know I'm not in the for sale section, don't sell stuff bc I don't like craigslist no shows. Bought new front when I got the truck 3 years ago and quickly found out it was top perch, not bad shock so it's in the garage after 5k icon 3 inch went on.

Same issue here. Bought the shocks in February, delivered in May, installed one week later and returned cores. Called several times and they said core refund would come via check in the mail….never received core refund and now they won’t answer calls or email.

Great thread..! I'm in process of doing my shocks and going thru same dilema...rebuild or new...and guess its a crap shoot on the "rebuild" due to the "CORE" charge which I'm hearing is where they get you...not to mention 2 way shipping costs.I've looked at several sites mentioned in different threads here and Shocks By Hammer seems the best and most honest...some of the other ones TSW and SDI are so confusing with disclaimers only high price lawyers could write-up..all in favor of the company.
With that said..know this is old thread....but new prices for BRAND NEW set of 4 on Rock Auto are $1969.65 tax, shipping, out the door...and on Summit Racing they are $2067.56 out the door.....
So Shocks by Hammer gets $1495 exchange...how much of your core you will get back is any ones guess but IMHO,for $500-$600 more new sure seems best way to go.....figuring in you still have old cores to sell....so $400+- for new compared to rebuild.
Part #'s are:

This seller in Santa Ana, CA is offering a pair of Gen 2 shocks he claims are low mileage takeoffs.

I'd at least check it out for that price. .
