Three options within 60 miles of my house. 86, 88, 90. 90 runs $.30-$.40 over 88 octane. That's $12+ per tank. In a truck that has 4000 miles in the first month that adds up. She's going to get 88 most of the time.

There is no benefit of running higher octane gas if the engine does not require it. Do a quick google search and you will see a dozen studies that prove this. You're wasting your money.

Do you know how I can tell you have a lot of experience with turbocharged motors?

Use a obd scanner and look at timing and knock count. If you are seeing timing pulled due to knock, then you know you aren't getting full power from the motor. If you are just going to the mall like me, it might not matter.

I think once you get a tune on it, it'll be 91+ only, but stock, and normal driving, it's probably fine.
