Do I want to spend $3k to upgrade the sound?

Isn’t that a single channel amp? I was planning on running everything off one amp. Hmm I may need to talk to those guys again.

Why? You are only running one tw5. You don’t need a dedicated sub amp. His post was regarding running two tw5’s.

Nope only one. So I should be putting out 100 watts RMS x 4 + 600 watts RMS x 1 (at 2 ohms) which should be spot on for the speaker set up.

What are your plans for the Dynomat? The whole interior from top to bottom or like just the doors?

goblue38 the short answer is yes you do! I was in almost the exact situation as you. Had competition cars 25 years ago and a small shop doing high end cars with Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, Orion, PPI, MB Quart, Boston Acoustic, etc.. Have not even looked at the latest tech until this year and had a system built for my 19 Raptor and all I can saw is wow, technology has come a long way. The result is amazing, sound quality is fantastic and with the NAVTV unit you don't lose any factory head unit functionality. I did the following:

NAVT Zen
JL VX 1000/5
JL VX 800/8
Blam Audio Signature 3 ways up front
Blam Audio Signature 2 ways in rear
2 JL Audio 12TW3's in the Mobile Toys behind the seat box (wanted to keep the storage space under the seat)
Sound deadening, etc

If you have not already done so, download and play with the TuN software for the VXi amps from JL. It offers a crazy amount of tuning capability that I would have killed for 25 years ago. Custom amp channels, crossovers, delay, gain etc. Because the amp is so customizable I left the factory center in and just sent it a little fill sound but am mainly relying on the front 3 ways with a little delay tuning to create the center stage. It works amazing... The bass knob also allows for selectable tunes/pre-sets. I am still playing with the software / tunes, it makes car stereo fun again..
