Disable exterior lights upon entry

I would love to know how to open a door and not have any exterior lights come on. I have successfully disabled the door chime with the key in the ignition. 2013 terrain.

If you don't want them to come on, disconnect the wires that go to them.

I have to have taillights. I just don't want them coming on when a door gets opened. So cutting the wires is not an option.
