For what 10 seconds, on my 19 I could lock out what ever upper gears and it stayed until you shut it off or unlocked them. Also, no button on the shifter.

10 seconds? Not sure on that, but it will lock out gears. There is one section of highway in town I do it every time so I can weave from the far left lane to the right lane to take an exit then get back on the highway a half mile down. lol.

Yeah, I do miss the shift buttons on the shifter for sure.

I thought all gen 3 had the omission. The ability to lock out gears is nice as I drive a lot of county roads at 45 or so. I hate the engine lugging around. I know when I did the Cobb sport tune, I no longer needed to lock out the gears as often.
Nice to know.
