Diesel Raptor 35 mpg??? You need to lay off the garlic... That will never happen. The Raptor will need to loss 4500LBs to even have a chance. I just don't see it.

Considering a Raptor weighs almost as much as F250 super duty... Diesel Raptor would get the same gas mileage as an F250 super duty diesel which averages 13.6 mpg...

i have no interest in a diesel in the raptor. i was gonna buy a raptor or suck it up and spend the money to get a F350 King Ranch. after thinking about all the extra cost of maintenance and then all the tree hugging stuff they add to the diesels which causes more head aches than MFT i decided stick with the gasser. i dont tow enough weight to care about the its towing capabilities and the mpg's are not much better on the new diesels stock than the 6.2L.....

My F250 crew weighs 8400lbs, the raptor weighs what? 5500? About 3,000lbs off from being the same, like the Raptor hauling a Mustang in the bed.

Plus the 6.7 weighs 1100lbs, like 600lbs more than the 6.2. It wouldn't be the same truck with all the weight up front. A smaller diesel? Sure.

No interest whatsoever. The 6.2 is the right motor for this truck.
