Five 37" Tires in the back of the truck without having to remove anything.
This mod worked out just fine :)

So, I've got the standard HD set up. Can you explain what you did to shorten the front panel and what I would need to order to do this?

Thanks!!!

Well, if I had to do it again I'd start out with the uncoated panels, do the mod and have it line-x'ed.
The rear panel is from the Ford HD (that is Ford HD, HD cover). the front Raptor panel was cut on a table saw. The cut was right by one of the cross members, leaving just one welded leg standing at the end. I also cut the very end of the panel with the hinge holes and the rubber seals, this was doubled to the end of the shortened panel. stiffeners where glued on using J-B Weld (no welding due to coating) I moved the pivot for the gas strut, used rivets wherever possible, some minor cut outs for everything to clear and finished it up with some spry can bed liner. Oh, with the shortened panel use only one gas strut.

I love my diamondback. But damn this is a great idea and awesome execution. Diamondback support is the best I have ever dealt with. Maybe they will offer that as an option.
