Only downside I see to the spare tire mount is unless you use a ratchet system like the stock location does, it'll be a pia to left a #80+ wheel assembly and secure it

I should have mentioned that...

The shop that would build this just happens to have another brand new Raptor in there being prepped for T2 Rally and will be ditching the stock spare tire mount in exchange for having two spares vertically in the bed.

As a result, the stock ratchet / winch system just happens to be needing a new purpose. :)




The question will be whether I can make it so that the linkage can reach all the way to the bed floor, or I have to lift the tire up on top the top of the tonnau cover temporarily while I hook it up.

Anyone ever move forward with a RTT on a Raptor?

The idea of putting a RTT above the bed or a bit higher say even with the cab's roof is a good one but it would require a RTT with a smaller footprint (like a flip over design) rather than a hardshell pop-up RTT.

Talk with LEX Motorsports. They are build an amazing set up for one of their Sema F150's.
