Buds had Manx manic, bultacos Honda scrambler and two more sand rails.
almost no rules or law. Boy Scouts used to find skeletons when venturing out( go figure)
Hot days. Cold nights c b radios,
Always careful no such a thing as emergency rescue your on your own don’t screw up. Our base vehicle I call it a vehicle was the ground pounder A oldsmobile tornado ( front wheel drive) cut off past front seats and mated to a airstream like 16 ft. travel trailer, shipyard built creation. Vietnam still on. It worked drove ok I only rode in it. Great and wild times long gone like running out of firewood. Thanks again and I’m sure you could top all this.
Ps: no cameras except occasional Polaroid.
Dam Man! I would love to see any pictures you have of those rides! You had some gems that I bet you wished you still owned, like the VW Rail or any of them! Find us some pictures of that Airstream River Boat!!
Thank you for sharing your memories...As my body fails me it will be all I have left..lol

@John M Hope you don't mind, but I saw some things from a few pics that caught my eye, just for fun. View attachment 335488View attachment 335489
Love it! I totally see it. Sometimes I just wander the Red Stone Area and capture shots of the faces and things I see. I use to think it was my meds being out of wack but other people see them too! LOL
Check out my post on Gold Butte I think the Red Stone there is CRAZY :)

FYI: I’m not one of those Crazy-Don’t Touch My Images people..lol
I’ve been asked and posted before that anyone on here is welcome to use, steal, claim as their own, use as a family Christmas card any images I post. If they encourage one person to get out in their Raptor and see how Incredibly Beautiful our Country is…then my work is done.
My posts aren’t meant to be “Look at Me”
They are intended to say “Look What You Can See and the Memories You can Make with your Raptor and a Camera/Phone”
If you ever see one you really like and want a useable image to enlarge or work with we can figure out a way to get it to you.
Thank You for the kind words.

Awesome photos. My dream trip to go to Utah and surrounding states with my Raptor. I live on the East coast so it’s going to be a long trip but I have to do it someday.
How was it with the pups ( dogs), any restrictions where you can go with them or not???

I have to hike the NP trails w/o them. No dogs on any NP trails. Everything else I’ve found is dog on leash friendly, BLM, NM, NRA, public lands. We bought our little RV so they could travel with us. Pet hotel rooms killllll my allergies.
Reach out to all the knowledgeable folks on here to help you plan a FANTASTIC ADVENTURE! So many great places to see along the way! My 2nd year of retirement we did a 10k road trip. Incredible Memories in my Gen1
