New member to the forum, so I hope I'm posting this in the right place.

Got an issue with the passenger side muffler converter, apparently its dented after running over a stick in the road! Its making an awful rattling noise, had my local dealership look at it this morning, but there are no mechanics on site on a Saturday morning.

Has anyone also experienced this and how much am I looking at to fix it? Is it an easy fix?

Any input would be appreciated, thanks! :)

Its actually part of the exhaust pipe, I was told it was a converter pipe, the downpipe that comes out the back of the engine, which then extends under the passenger side into a longer pipe.

I have some pics of the part of the pipe attached. The oil change guy probably told me the wrong name for it :-\

Here's a closer pic, the two small marks above the plate is the dent.

Ok, so its the cat converter Y-Pipe. If its that bad its covered so let the dealer fix it. The warranty coverage period for:
Passenger cars, light duty trucks (applies to vehicles up to 8,500 pounds GVWR)
8 years or 80,000 miles (whichever occurs first) for catalytic converters, electronic engine control unit (ECU), transmission control module (TCM), and any other onboard emissions diagnostic module.

But if that was damaged by something in the road, perhaps off roading and shows physical sign of damage, that is covered under the factory warranty? I wouldn't think so. Maybe under your car insurance.

Its a 2013 Raptor so I'll have to check back with the dealership, but I doubt that's going to be covered under the warranty as I'm sure that road debris damaging a part is something they will not cover.

Get it fixed warranty or not!!! if the cat is broking inside and gets clogged your motor is on borrowed time.
