dealership in my area just had a '13 delivered today. built on 9-17. 19 days to ship one 1000 miles? i know there are alot of details that factor into it, but that seems like a long time. i dont have a build date yet. kinda depressing to think of adding 3 more weeks to whenever that happens. those of you who've had your orders delivered, what was your delivery time?

IMO, the order to build to delivery time of the 2013s is NOTHING to us guys that went thought this last year.

I mean a bunch of us waited MONTHS for anything to happen. Honestly, Ive been surprised its all happening so fast this year.

Both times! One to order and one to pickup. You'd at least thought they would have brought it to us... geez

I was curious about this too. Mine has a build date of 10/11. I called SVT to confirm it. They said "You will take delivery 3 - 6 weeks from that date". I live in northern Indiana. I can get to Dearborn in under 4 hours. My truck wont be loaded on a train. I am optimistic that it will take 2 weeks or less. So We'll see.

In your case, being so close to the factory, they will probably ship it to their distribution point in rural western Yemen and then back to you. :p

In all honesty, I just hope its not like the US mail. I can ship a box 40 miles and it arrives tomorrow, but if I send it 18 miles, it takes two days and has to go on a 300 mile excursion.

I am going to the factory tour today. I got confirm that by the time I get there my screw will be off the line (not visible to the tour). I was told 3 weeks... And my dealer is 34 miles away. Argh!!!

3-4 weeks wait for delivery is nothing compared to what some of the Shelby guys went through. Some of them took 6-8 weeks after their car was parked in area 51. Ford is saying that there is a rail car shortage thus extending delivery times. I guess when the economy tanked a few years ago, the rail companies must have retired a bunch of old rail cars and never replaced them.
