In Okla. you have to use the area code anytime you want to make a local call which is a recent change about a year ago. When I bought my raptor 2 years ago I uploaded my phone book from my phone and all was good. But since I now have to add the area code I changed all my numbers on my phone and then deleted the phone book on SYNC and then re-added/uploaded my modified/updated phone book again. My problem is every time I try to upload the modified phone book it somehow is remembering or finding somewhere all the numbers that do not have the area code added. because of this it now forces me to have to select which number to use, re: the number with or without the area code which slows down the calling process.

My question obviously is how can I PERMANENTLY remove all the old numbers and only have the new ones with the area code.

I would try a clean pairing. Meaning, delete the phone book and the phone itself from sync. Then delete sync from your phones Bluetooth list. Now start fresh. Pair your phone with sync as you originally did and then download the phone book.

It only syncs whats on your phone, somehow that info is still on your phone, somehow. I would look there first.

Then maybe wipe out the syns and start from scratch. Reset to default.
