Looking to change out both springs in my truck. I do some towing but mostly carry dirtbikes in summer and snowbikes in winter and the 18 Screw is lacking out back with any kind of load. I was trying to sift through all the threads and figured I would just ask here. I want to end up with a level truck, is there a deaver set that will increase load and work well with the geiser progressive springs? And do I need to add a hydraulic bump stop with the deavers or can that be avoided? Thanks.

I just upgraded the rear of my truck last week with Deaver +2HDs and the RPG bump stops. I was too nose-up with just dirt bikes in the back (getting flashed by oncoming drivers at night), and I just bought a travel trailer that'll make the problem even worse.

Apparently to install the Deavers you have to remove the Ford axle pad, which leaves the axle to directly hit the frame unless you add bump stops. So, I drove down to LA and had RPG install their stage 3 rear suspension kit.

Now the rear's a little high (should settle down to about ¾" to an inch high in another week), but it feels solid without being harsh. No more floaty feeling from the rear. I haven't hauled or taken it off-road yet, but I'm happy with the street handling.

Unfortunately the Deavers makes the front feel even more floaty and bouncy, so I'm looking at springs or coil-overs to balance the truck out. Maybe if I got the plain (non-HD) Deavers it wouldn't be such a contrast, but I need the HD capability for when I have the bikes in the bed and the trailer hooked up.

I have the Geisers and Standard +3 Deavers with RPG bump kit. Love it, but if you’re going to tow I would definitely get the HD +3 Deavers. My standard Deavers barely handle any extra load beyond the spare, jack and recovery gear I carry everyday in my bed.
