Here's a vid of 'stoner getting over the Waterfall. The vid really does the steepness of this thing a disservice. Its quite a bit more extreme than the camera makes it seem. To get a sense of that, keep an eye on the distances from the front and rear tires to their wheel wells. That's a whole lot of room up front and not much in the rear, indicating a bunch of weight transfer to the rear, due to the angle.

Awesome pics and vid so far! Can't wait to see more! Rhyolite and Titus Canyon...you couldn't ask for a better drive. I completely understand the lack of pics, those are 2 of my favorite places in DV.

How long did it take you to get to Racetrack?

Lets see... I think I can tell you exactly, since I had my SPOT GPS tracker running the whole time. Lemme see if I can create a 'trip' with their software and link it up real quick, so you can see the entire route including the timing of where and when...

great! but honestly, a simple "2hrs or so" would've been enough... :waytogo::ROFLJest:

Yeah cool, click here: Death Valley Raptor Run Nov 25-26 2011 - Off-Road trip - Spot | SpotAdventures

You should be able to click on various spots on the map or graph to see an overall time. Just pick two spots, subtract the overall times between them and you can see how long it took us to go from one spot to another.

There were some gaps in the data for some reason, but overall this should give you the info you're looking for. If not feel free to ask any other questions and I'll see what I can find out!

LOL fair enough... but you'll need to tell me where where ya want the time to start from :)

If you're asking about how long from from Scotty's, it looks like right around 1:30mins.

Hiya! Unfortunately I had to change my plans last minute. I was all set to go, but then injured my shoulder. Getting jostled around over that washboard section, going over all the fun bumps and sleeping in a tent wasn't going to be an option. I made the right call not going and letting myself heal. However, I am still bummed I missed out on the adventure. Brian is always awesome and it would have been great to meet Outcast and his son.

I look forward to co-piloting (and kicking BigJ out of the driver seat) on a future trip. Sounds like Mohave might be in the works.

Big J...i noticed you have removed the factory running boards and are not running any replacement running boards. Couple questions, how do you like it without the running boards? Going off-road, have you noticed more rock chips/less protection on the body of the truck?
