Ha you guys are like the kid sitting in the living room all December just staring at the fireplace waiting for Santa to come…:smiley-face-popcorn
Sadly, that is true.... however, there are significant tax issues also involved if purchased AND placed in service in 2021. There is additional motivation for some of us other than having a really cool truck.

You can buy it now before it even arrives if you’re concerned about tax implications. The dealer will sell it to you

I'm sure each state is different... I tried to get some paper work out of the way before my truck arrived and my dealer wouldn't do anything before they took delivery and did initial inspection of the vehicle.

Probably so. I “bought” mine in October. Once it was in production assuming a few weeks to delivery. That didn’t happen…haha

Yes, it can be purchased before it arrives... it is the "placed in service" that gets dicey if it no shows by year-end..... we'll see...

I hear you about the tax. 5 yrs is 5 yrs and the loss of depreciation even one 1 year is a huge deal.

Just checked on my order and it went from 12/31 to TBD for delivery. I guess this means ford won’t be delivering anything in December. Not sure I even want the truck at this point. No vehicle is worth this much hassle.
