That is not true just like the other thread. They are holding there valve better than there competition at about 15% depreciation. One they are no longer producing them the value will hold. This is the exact same thing that happened to the gen 1. Why buy used when you can buy new, once you can’t buy new the second hand market will be the only way thereby holding there value over the next 7 yrs. sorry but the sky is not falling this is the natural pattern of these trucks. Also the value of the gen 1 trucks have been falling off of a cliff around here (still way better than competition) over the last 2 yrs as well so not just the Jenny.

Actually take a 2017 raptor which had a MSRP of $ 68,000.00 loaded in 2017. It currently has a KBB trade value of $ 50,000.00 with 29,000 miles on it. I believe that is 26 percent drop in value. A far cry from 15 percent depreciation. But this is what happens when you pump out 40,000 raptors per year and the demand goes down due to Dealer Mark ups.

So enough about depreciation, please start your own thread. I want to hear about well under MSRP on 19’s or 20’s

I bought y 2019 3 months ago with 802A and Technology package, MoonRoof, Spray in Liner etc. MSRP of $71,470 I and I got $6K off MSRP for sale price of $65,470 + Tax and Tags. Looks to me though like right now, you can get $8K, $9K range off of dealer inventory.

Not sure what your fixation is with Raptor pricing/depreciation or stirring up the pot on this forum but Strike two, next time you get a permanent Ban.

Isn't this a coincidence. I guess this backs up my thread on raptor depreciation. Pretty sad that just 12-36 months ago dealers would not come off from $ 5000 to $ 20,000.00 ( California) OVER MSRP, now the same vehicle in 2019-2020 with added options is selling for $ 10,000.00 under MSRP. I wonder what changed from 2017 to 2020 ? What changed is FMC over produced the raptor out of greed for volume and that for all intensive purposes has killed the retainage value of a Ford Raptor. Now a truck that was always known for holding it's value extremely well is no different than a Ford XLT. You could save yourself some money and buy a loaded XLT Lariet or even a loaded platinum and they will probably depreciate less than a ford raptor.

Or even better, the smart buyer will find a well taken care of GEN. 1 Raptor with low miles on it because they hold their value better and don't depreciate like a boat anchor.

Why are you so fixated on the depreciation? The Raptor is a vehicle not an asset, it is going to depreciate. I paid what I thought was a good price (I paid sticker, no discount, no up-charge)for my 2018 in September of 2017. I didn't spend $70k thinking I am going to get $50k for it in 2 years. I bought it to enjoy it and drive the hell out of it. And whatever I get for it when I get my next Raptor will be part of the cost of ownership.

I am pretty sure this is another one of the many accounts for Sasquatch...
