I apologize if there is already a thread on this topic.. and if so please point me. I'm wondering which way people are leaning towards the extra clear coat and under paint treatments.. Normally I go with the external treatments for some added protection, but I avoid the interior carpet sprays... thoughts?

Got a call from dealership that truck is finally in train yard here. Should be less than 2 days.

Congrats, post pics when you get it! I have done the undercoating but I find it unnecessary.

maybe one of the tech's can shed some light on those "extras" but i feel personally that they are overpriced services that you can easily perform yourself. even at that, the impact the treatments they make long term is questionable.

Very true.

If you want to protect your truck add a protective film for rocks and such. Nothing I hate more than a nice rust spot on nice new truck all because of a rock!

Under coating has always been a joke ever since the scam was started in the 60's I can buy a can of spray and do the wheel wells thats all they do! Lot of new techno pastes out now for the exterior paint, good investment.

Truck came in today.. silver with all the sheet, minus stickers and blue interior. I only had them put the undercoating on ($300) based on a discussion about products. The paint treatment sounded good but it was $1300 and they've had problems with the 3M material sticking to it. No interior sprays.

Truck had 15 miles on it. Its a monster and I can't wait for the weekend. For now just breaking it in..

almost 4 months to the date that I had the order submitted to Ford. My pulling away from the dealership song was Burn it to the ground from Nickelback..

picture of the spare tire is pending!!

I had mine undercoated. I do every vehicle that I buy here.

We do a nice paint sealant, and then i usually hook up with a clear bra as well.

I do the interior treatments as well. Being an employee, cost is pretty good though

Had the undercoating done on my g/f's truck when new. It looked basically like a light version of line-x and judging by the patterns I'm sure it was sprayed on. Seems pretty solid, I'm sure the dealer doesn't do it in-house but I'm not sure who they had do it. Pretty happy with that product and would definitely look for something similar on future vehicles.
