Did you take it to a dealer or a random shop?
This was at a Ford Dealership. It went in because a year ago I had my oil pan replaced at another dealership and i found it leaking again so it was a warranty fix on that then got the "Since you are up for maintenance you should get the transmission flushed and rear end oil changed"

Because of the issues I had with the Ford dealership and their lack of competence with the 10 speed on my 2019, I took my 2021 to a local independent shop for the fluid drain/fill. Had them swap the pan out for the B&M one and gave them pictures of the fluid level at temp as well as a write up of exactly how/what I wanted done. No issues.

yeah, this is what I will do from now on. I will however address this with the dealership and make them acknowledge if any damage was done that they will fix it for free. Only worry is, once its in the tech hands they can say "Oh it was at the right level" we will see if they make it right

Yea it's hard to know what happens and who's touching it behind the shop doors. Part of the issue with these transmissions is how cold natured they are and hard to get up to temp. If the level is checked at too low a temp, then it'll be way too high at operating temp. Shops rush jobs unfortunately and this is one that shouldn't be.

Thanks to the frigid temps here in Iowa the past week, I've noticed the Raptor in general is cold blooded. Even before this I noticed it takes forever for the transmission to get to temp.

Once spring has sprung, I plan on just doing a fluid change. Suck out the old and suck in the new.

No bueno. Every month or so there is a post about problems after tranny service. Probably should be on the bingo card. @smurfslayer ?

Was this a flush of the transmission with some sort of solvent or something NOT transmission fluid?
I just had the 10r80 serviced and was very clear; pull pan, change filter, replace pan & secure, add fluid back as described in the service manual. I didn’t have to as it turned out they don’t do a ‘flush’ like we all understand it but in my mind you can’t be too clear on this.

I actually had the opposite effect, no more clunking into drive/reverse - or it’s drastically reduced, shifting is the same though.
Anyway, definitely get the servicing dealer involved.

i would highly suggest not doing that. this is exactly what is happening right now. a flush of the trans fluid is not recommended by ford. replace whats lost in the pan and thats it.
