A dash rattle has developed that I notice at low speed, and I've not yet been able to isolate it.

Unless I missed something, my search resulted a thread about a rattle in the shifter area. And that's not what I'm experiencing.

If anyone has experienced this and been able to identify the source / solution, please reply.

Thanks.

Check the glove box. Mine doesn’t latch evenly so I gotta give a push on the left side.

There was a post somewhere here about how it wasn’t installed carefully at the factory.

If it’s below your feet it could be the end links.

I've got a small rattle / squeak coming from the left side of the center stack. If I apply a little pressue on the carbon fiber piece of trim in the drivers side foot well it goes away. It is only noticable with the radio off. Have not tried to troubleshoot it. I try to get rid of it soon, or show the dealer on my next service - which ever comes first.

Is it more of a harmonic vibration in the whole dash? I was getting that under low acceleration and it went away once my cam phasers were fixed. Cam phaser problem started out as an intermittent clatter on cold start. Then became every cold start with engine ticking. Then it added the dash vibration. All gone now.

Don't think so, it's more of a rattle on a bumpy road. Thanks.

Tried the glove compartment and pressing on various trim pieces - to no avail. Ugh!

Well, I'm rattle-free and a couple hundred dollars poorer (I'm a couple thousand miles outside my base warranty and this wasn't covered by PremiumCare).

Turns out the noise was actually from under the hood, a 4x4 check valve that wasn't secure and hitting against the firewall.

Even the Ford technicians thought it was something in the dash, but that wasn't the case.

Here's what was on my ticket; sharing this in case someone else has this develop:

VERIFIED THE RATTLING NOISE CONCERN.

FOUND THE NOISE WAS COMING FROM THE LEFT SIDE OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.

TIME TO RESEARCH THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND RADIO IN ATTEMPT TO ISOLATE THE
 NOISE.

FOUND EVERYTHING IS PROPERLY SECURED IN THE DASH.

INSPECTED OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE UNDER THE HOOD IN THE COWL PANEL AND AGAINST THE FIREWALL.

WAS NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE LEFT FRONT WIPER ARM AND COWL PANEL TRIM.

FOUND THE 4X4 ONE-WAY CHECK VALVE WAS NOT PROPERLY SECURED, WHICH ALLOWED IT
TO HIT AGAINST THE FIREWALL.

I SECURED THE VALVE , THEN RE-TESTED.
THE VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE ANY ABNORMAL NOISE AFTER THE REPAIR.
