My dash cam came in today and I was wondering what’s the best way to run the wire for the rear cam?
Is it possible to use two mirror taps one for the cam and the other for radar? Not sure if it’s to much draw or even if the pins will fit.

Mirror tap company makes this with a choice of either rj11 or DC output.
There's another company called safe n sound1 that custom makes mirror taps with Y connection, fused, to both rj and dc outputs, look it up

What fuse did you tap into? I bought the fuse tap kit to run behind the A pillar and into the fuse box? Just wondering which one to use. I’m ok with on full time since it’s my daily driver or with the accessory so it’s only on when I turn the truck on. Thanks in advance!

I tapped into Fuse 29 for constant power (unused fuse) and Fuse 36 for power when truck is in acc mode. I ran the wires across the headliner, down the A pillar and just behind the weather stripping. This is my daily driver as well and I have the cam running all time.

Thanks for the info. I'm looking to install the same camera, sounds like a really easy install? Did you remove any interior parts to run the wiring front or rear? Are you happy you did the rear camera? I am unsure if I really need the rear facing cam.

Or just buy the Power Magic Pro with your Blackvue and run the wire across the headliner and down to the passenger kick panel. It takes 2 minutes. There you will find your pass through wires and you upfitter switch power wires. I have mine wired to one of my upfitter switches or use the pass through wires and got to the battery if you don't want it on a switch. I wouldn't mess with rear view mirror wires unless you really have to.
