Out of curiosity, I have questions for you about both items:

  • What do you mount to the dash mount? I've been thinking of getting one, but I can't convince myself that I actually need it, and don't want it to just sit there without anything on it.
  • Any chance you have any video that you can upload (or even pictures) as to what the video looks like from the camera? I saw pictures/video on the manufacturer's website, but I'm curious how the video is with the cam mounted up higher (because Raptors are much taller than the vehicles shown on their website). Are you actually able to read license plates for cars that may be near you (they'd have to be much further away because the hood is in the way), and can the cam see out the back window, etc?
Thanks!

Still don’t have anything mounted to my dash mount was going to get a phone mount but decided to get a vent mounted phone mount instead. I’ve been looking for ideas myself. Maybe something to ur my sun glasses on while I’m at home?

The only video I have saved is a short clip of my 5 year old throwing a fit. I guess I never really looked at it the video quality isn’t great but it looks like the lens is dirty and should be cleaned also looks like I should mount the camera a little higher as my hood vent is kinda in the way.
All I can give you for now is a screen shot. You have the option to view the front view only or the front and rear view. Unfortunately I just left for work for 3 weeks and can’t make any adjustments or get new videos.

Thanks for all the photos/feedback, guys. You've given me some ideas. Think I'll pick up a dash cam in the next week or so.
