I am on my third supercharged F150. My 5.0L Whipple used by far the least amount of "gas" and had the most blower whine. Both my 6.2L had Roush and were sadly too quiet, they average 13mpg (and I get a speeding ticket almost monthly). Though I didn't buy any of them with fuel consumption a consideration.

2012 truck that I just Whipple'd (Stage 1) in April with about 30,000 miles on the truck. I don't daily my truck and have only put ~600 miles on it so far. Average MPG has dropped from ~15 MPG to 14.7 MPG. I'm at 3500ft ASL elevation.

Considering getting a 14 Gen one Roush charged. How do you know if it was factory Roush or not? I hear they chew up pinion seals frequently?

Alright, I'll answer.
Ford Motor Company never built a Roush Raptor or a Whippled Raptor.
Roush would buy Raptors direct from Ford and then add their stuff, these then become serialized Roush Raptors.

Now for the pinion seal, more HP does not make the pinion seal go bad.
If your bearings (all bearings in the pumpkin) and/or gears are starting to go bad, then yes, seals will start leaking.
