i bought the dorman universal boot. think it was $20. getting it on kinda sucked, but theres a tool you can get. its a boot stretcher of some sort.

Ford does not sell just the boot…. The cv axle is “non serviceable “. Which is TOTALLY false. I bought the SDHQ ones last week because I tore one of my inner CV boots. You can buy them individually or all 4. The inners and outers are both the same size. Man they are BEEFY! I would highly recommend getting the SDHQ. Awesome quality, thick, heavy duty rubber. Tearing down the CV axles is not hard at all. Took me 45min. Once I got the CV out.
