Hopefully the black on black doesn't have any chipping issues... I'm sure you'll get it squared away

Heat them up with a heat gun before you engrave them. The powder will usually soften enough without chipping during the engraving. If that doesn't work your powder coater might have to use a better paint pretreatment to the aluminum before applying the powder.

Thanks for info...they are currently being re-stripped and like you said some sort of etching/ pretreatment before the coating and then back to engraving. I think he was a little embarrased and vowed to make it right! Machinist is ready to kill someone for this added delay.

You are 100 percent right dan. I spoke with coater and he is redoing all the caps....so there is no half stepping on my order. I am a quality guy and only want the best.

Unfortunately that will delay the black on blacks.....sorry guys but I don't want shit chipping off or falling off and looking like a hot mess.

I was told the machinist will have parts back by Tuesday....I know smh as well but it's better off this way and know were getting quality. Then the machine shop is telling me a day or two for engraving. Once I get them they will all ship priority.
