Current flag/whip setup's and idea's

looking to add a whip setup for the dunes and flag setup to fly a a 3x5 flag. my question is, what is your setup or if you dont have one, how would you build yours?

thx dude, thats an idea. I think im leaning more towards having something custom made to go in the bed so i can just leave it in there. But still looking for idea's

I didn't like the idea of anything out side my bedrails or behind my tailgate because it could/would possibly scratch my paint as off-roaded and it flung or sprung around; so I took my whips and bolted them with some large washers through the tie-downs inside the bed. That way, if/when they sprung around the only thing they could slide against is the plastic bedrail cover. Quick and easy. But I want to try something more permanent (with ease of removal) for next time around probably. FFS

The mount I have, in the picture from the second link, keeps the flag far enough away plus I use a truck pole, which is like 1/2 think or so. I have never has it hit my tail gate and I have used it multiple times.

I mounted mine using a standard whip and it slid perfectly into the bed extender. The small space between where the 2 halves meet, sort of behind one of the locking pieces.....the whip slides down nice and snug. It never budged, even with a giant flag and 100mph runs across the dunes. I got alot of comments on it too.

that looks cool, do you have any pics of the holder on the bed extender? kinda curious to see it....
