The ambient lighting in my cup holders and both front footwells are not working anymore. The rest of the ambient lighting in the truck is working fine. I opened the interior fuse panel and it seems the number 1 fuse (Top Right) is completely missing and when I went to replace it the fuse just falls out; has no retention. So I guess the question I'm asking is does anyone know if a fuse is even supposed to be here (the manual says yes). Secondly who wants to be a pal and crawl in there to double check the fuse location to make sure Ford didn't just copy and paste the manual from the normal F150. I need my gucci cupholder lighting back.

Thanks

I was digging around down there on an unrelated matter and I can tell you there is no fuse in that location for my truck either. There is no female receptacle. Im not sure what that location is used for on other models but I can tell you its not related to the lighting. Everything works.

For ref, im 802A no tech

Any updates on if your issue was fixed and if so how? Having the exact same issue on my '17. Cup holders, front footwells, and under passenger airbag all went out so Im assuming its a fuse?

No fuses in the Ambient Lighting system, it’s powered by a Field Effect Transistor (FET) in the BCM. The BCM communicates with each ambient lamp via a LIN bus, which allows it to change color and report lamp issues. If one lamp fails, it may cause the BCM to disable the output to the lamps on the affected LIN circuit. The footwell lamps, passenger dash lamp, and cup holder lamps are all on the same LIN. Do you have access to ForScan?

I have a bluetooth OBD2 adaptor but I have not dove into forscan yet. Where would I start for that, is there an iOS or Mac app I can use or would I need a special adaptor to access the software?
