A few minutes after my truck (2018 SCAB) is warmed up and I accelerate from a stop a get a "Trailer Connected" Alert on the dash. When I brake I get the "Trailer Disconnected" alert. Back and forth. Da-ding, da-ding, da-ding. Makes me want to jerk the wheel into oncoming traffic. Seems worse when the temp is above freezing. Sometimes a "Trailer right turn lamps fault, check lamps" alert pops up. Same alert for left lamps too, usually one after the other. Sometimes the trailer blind spot fault pops up too, but I forget the actual alert phrasing. I checked the plug in the bumper and even cleaned it out with some good contact cleaner. Still does it. Unplugged the harness from the bumper connector and taped it off. Still does it. THose 2 connections look good and brand new, no signs of corrosion. Not sure where to check next. I know there is a TSB for this, but dealer wants $200 to diagnose and my truck is out of warranty. Any advice?

Mine does the same, but only when my trailer is actually connected. It goes back and forth with connection and disconnected. Drives me nuts, I believe there is a TSB for this, I'm going to try to find that.

It seems insane to me that Ford though it would be a good idea to have those alerts cycle and distract the driver constantly. Just alert once for each per key cycle.
