I need a gut check guys, and hope you can help me out. I ordered my 13 raptor on 8/11 and haven't heard a peep yet about a priority or vin or anything for that matter.

Am I nuts to consider dropping my pretty much loaded SCAB order for a 2012 SCAB with just a few options? Its the color I like and it has power moonroof and backup camera (Must have for me). Unfortunately, I can only get MSRP but no dealer fee on the 12 instead of my invoice +500 on the 13. I love the idea of HID's and back up sensors on the 13 but not sure about MFT and the new center stack. Another thing is the standard radio on the 12 instead of the sony upgraded system.

I just dont like hearing 6 month order times and my daily driver trade in value is dropping every day.

Any advise or comments are appreciated.

Thanks

Brian

just wait! you'll be happy you did. plus...picking up an early '13 will be better for overall value than picking up a "year old" 2012 at a higher price.

Yeah sounds like you would be taking a downgrade losing options etc for more cost. Doesn't make sense IMO.

wait them out..... Dont let "the man" get you down lol I ordered mine 8/1 and i just got word this week. Im sure it wont be long. Everyone else seems to be asking BLOOD for help maybe he can get more info for you. I just waited until i got word from dealer instead of asking BLOOD.

Dont do it. Dont forget a brand new '12 will be a year old when you drive it off the lot. If you wait and later decide to bale, you should be able to find a '13 on a lot somewhere with a little work.

You are looking at it wrong just as I did. A '12 raptor that is not what you want is much better than what you have now but a '13 configured how you want it will be much better than the '12. You waited this long.

Yep. Wait em out. You will be happier in the long run getting your '13 "loaded" truck at a great price - much better than a '12 "bare bones" version at MSRP. Don't want to look back later and wish you had all the cool features of a loaded truck imho

I agree, wait for the truck you want. You aren't going to lose that awful much on trade in I imagine...

It's gonna be worth it when she shows up at the dealer.
