The Car Stereo Company......... not quite my shop yet though. still dealing with transfer of ownership papers. lawyers, contracts, and tax guys all getting their say first. might have contract signed by the end of the week.

i think there is a way to get video in motion and backup camera without lockpick or nav-tv. it is not as complicated as the front camera. i have only messed with the front camera because that is what everyone has been asking about. but neither of the 2 companies have been able to bypass it yet. they have more resources than me, but i like to experiment a lot.

it depends on the amp location. if you have the space, use a slash series from JL if not, try a jx or hd series instead

Just snagged the HD series 900/5, (2) 10" W0's, and a Supercrew box. I'll use the 4 channel to run the C2580x's and the remaining channel for the subs.

Any input on this?

Paid $700 for the HD, $80/each sub, and $125 for the box.

looks like a decent setup at a good price. are you familiar with the amp settings?

Not sure exactly what you mean, so that must be a no.

Anything you'd like to point out for me to take note of?

I'll do a bit of research in the meantime.

ah, oem......... you should get a sound processor of some type. JL Audio cleansweep with summing device works good.

I got an Audio Control LC2i.

Should do the trick, right? Heard it's more user friendly than the Clean Sweep.

All hearsay to me, as I've been out of this game for quite some time.

its not quite what you need in this situation. the LC2i is only a 2 channel output. you need 6 channels. the reason the jl audio piece works so good, is because with the summing device you can combine the left front tweeter and left front woofer into one signal. this can be done with each speaker into each input on the clean sweep once in the cleansweep its factory preset eq curve is flattened out as much as possible. this gives you a full range signal to your amp. with the cleansweep you can also have subwoofer control. the audio control pieces dont use the same summing. so you would need an 10 channel to do what the cleansweep can do. the audio control definitely gives you a lot of control over eq functions when compared. my suggestion is go with the cleansweep and then use the audiocontrol EQX out to the amp

Thanks for the help man.

Heading back this morning to return the LC2i.

Any chance you'd wanna help install the clean sweep? I heard they are installed incorrectly 90% of the time.

Do you think the HD series is overkill? I want good clean bass, not trying to go to competitions or anything.

I got the HD 900/5 in order to have an all in one amp instead of 2 separate ones.

I originally was going to just get a JX500/1 for the subs and power the door speakers off of the head unit. Maybe upgrade to a JX360/4 to power the mids and highs if they were drowned out by the bass...

Your thoughts?
